PREMIERING IN SEPTEMBER AMERICA'S TOP SLEUTH
Voting Rules and Disclaimer for Americas Top Sleuth
1. Preliminary Information:
You must be 13 years of age or older as of July 17, 2006 to vote for which top sleuths from television and film make it into Sleuth Channel's first original production, "Americas Top Sleuth".
You must be a legal resident of the United States.
Voting begins at 12:00 PM PT on July 17th, 2006 and all votes must be received by no later than 11:59 AM PT on August 21st, 2006 (the "Voting Period"). Votes received after 11:59 AM PT on August 21st, 2006 will not be counted.
2. How to vote for your favorite Sleuth:
Beginning on July 17th, 2006 at 12:00 PM PT, log on to sleuthchannel.com to cast your vote for which top sleuths from television and film make it into Sleuth Channel's first original production, Americas Top Sleuth. The sleuth that receives the greatest number of votes during the Voting Period will be declared the first choice (the "First Choice"), the sleuth that receives the second greatest number of votes during the Voting Period will be declared the second choice (the "Second Choice") and so on.
In the event of a tie, Sleuth's editorial team will decide which of the tied choices is the better choice in their own discretion based on the funniest entry.
The First Choice will be revealed on the Americas Top Sleuth, which is currently scheduled to be exhibited on Sleuth this fall but which time and date are subject to change in Sleuth's sole discretion.
3. Disclaimer:
Sleuth and NBC Universal, Inc. ("Releasees") shall have the right to void any vote that appears, in Releasees' sole discretion, to have been made by a person not meeting the eligibility requirements set forth above, If for any reason the voting is not capable of being executed as planned, or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Releasees, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this contest, the Releasees reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to withdraw the transmission of any vote or permanently disqualify from any promotion any person it believes has intentionally violated these rules, and to terminate or suspend voting at any point and declare the First Choice based on the votes up to that point, if it appears that the voting process has been so distorted by hacking or other interference that the results would not reflect actual valid votes should the polling continue. In the event of technical difficulties with the online voting or cell phone voting, Releasees reserve the right to review the votes for accuracy and to take any appropriate action, including, without limitation, voiding the votes cast during the time period in which such technical difficulties occurred. Releasees and their respective agents, officers, directors, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with this vote. Releasees are not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind, for inaccurate transcription of voting information, errors in any promotional or marketing materials, for any human or electronic error, or for votes that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, or late.
These rules are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of the Releasees. Voting is currently unlimited during the Voting Period, which simply means that when voting online or by cell phone during the Voting Period, each person may vote as often as they please. The Releasees reserve the right to change the limit on the number of votes, in the Releasees' sole discretion. Notification regarding any such change will be posted at http://www.sleuthchannel.com.
Caution: Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any online service or website, tamper with the voting process, or otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of the voting is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Administrator reserves the right to seek damages and/or other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
